About Desormeaux Meats
Desormeaux Meats was founded in 1966 by Jean-Guy Desormeaux, in the tiny town of Crysler, ON, and has been thriving since then. A provincially licensed abattoir, Desormeaux Meats processes beef, pork, lamb, and more for lots of local farmers, while providing fresh local meats to the general public.
In 2019, two months after new owners, Brian and Lis Vandenberg, bought Desormeaux Meats, a fire broke out, closing the shop indefinitely.
Through lots of hard work and the blessings brought by community, Brian and Lis were able to rebuild and reopen the shop earlier than expected! In April 2020, amid a global pandemic, Desormeaux Meats was ready to serve the public again, bringing delicious meats back to the community.
